Elementary

Sunday mornings (9:50-10:50) is Life Application Hour (Sunday school) for all ages. See Nursery for children under 2 years old or Early Childhood for children aged 2 through 4.  Pre K (age 4 by 9/1 of the current year) through Kindergarten enjoy the hour learning Bible stories, crafts and song using Group Hand’s On curriculum.  1st-6th Grade enjoy BibleZone where they participate in large group teaching and small group interactive time using Children Desiring God curriculum. BibleZone runs during the academic school year. See below for more details about this learning opportunity.

Sunday mornings (11:00):  KidZone, a children’s church for those in Kindergarten – 2nd Grade. The children are released before the message for their own time together with catchy Bible songs, a memory verse, a Bible story and a snack. Parents pick up their children at the conclusion of the worship service.

Wednesday evenings: Children PreK through 6th grade can attend the AWANA program, a nondenominational ministry that helps churches worldwide raise children and youth to know, love and serve Christ. AWANA is held during New Life's Family Night, on Wednesday nights from 6:30 to 8:00pm.  Families can begin the evening as early as 5pm with dinner. While parents/caregivers participate in Bible Studies/AWANA/Youth Group here at New Life, children can be in the nursery or the AWANA program depending on their age. The AWANA programs begins in September and continues until early May.

Summertime Sunday mornings: (9:50-10:50) Children ages PreK-completed 5th grade can participate in SummerZone. This summer, we'll have fun learning about the Fruit of the Spirit through lots of activities and lessons! During the summer the Nursery for children under 2 years old or Early Childhood for children aged 2 through 4 continues as described above.

Vision

To partner with parents to love, pray for and teach the children of New Life Church about the character and purpose of the sovereign, triune God through His revelation in the Bible in a way that encourages them to personally know Him as their Savior and to develop a daily walk of growing love, submission and dependence on Him that results in a lifetime of joyful worship and service to Him. What We Do:

Worship Time of Singing (1st – 6th)

1st-2nd: Go to classrooms for engaging teaching, application and prayer in a quite, small group setting where teachers can get to know the kids in a quiet atmosphere. Parents pick-up kids from the classrooms.
3rd-6th: Large Group Teaching Time—Presents truth from God’s word in a visual, interactive way to engage children in learning. Small Group

Application and Prayer Time

Children are divided into small groups in classrooms where teachers lead them through questions, discussion and prayer to encourage an understanding of how to apply the truths from the lesson to their lives. They return to the gym for pick-up.

Parent/Student Take Home Sheets

These are designed to engage parent and child in “bringing the lesson home” to interact with and pray over, developing deeper understanding and helping the child to integrate it into his/her life. They are designed to create a partnership with parents as the primary conduit for instructing and training kids in God’s truth.

Incentive Program

To encourage kids to complete their Take-Home Sheets, memorize their Bible verses, participate in the ministry teams and begin a habit of daily Bible reading and prayer, kids earn points over a 6 to 8 week cycle. On the final week, “BodyBuilderz Sunday,” prizes are given out based on points earned.
