New Here?

Welcome! Here are answers to some questions that many new visitors have about Children's Ministry at New Life.

How will I know that my child is safe here?

Nothing is more important to us than the safety and security of your child. All of our caring volunteers undergo a background screening to determine their eligibility to care for your child, and receive training on how to care for your child in a loving, safe way.

Additionally, we utilize an electronic check-in system for all of our ministries, including Sunday mornings and AWANA, to help us manage the check-in and pickup of children in the safest way possible. Please stop by our central check-in station when you first arrive at New Life, and our helpful team will assist you!

Where do I bring my child on Sunday morning?

When entering the main doors of New Life, travel straight through the Great Room and up the ramp to our Commons area, where you'll find our central check-in location. Our team will help you find just the right room for your child.

What will my child be doing?

We want our preschoolers to know the stories of the Bible, so each week, the kids will hear a creative telling of a Bible story, and participate in some hands-on activities that will help them really experience what each story is all about. Each story doesn't just stand on its own, though. They're all a part of God's Big Story! And so, we'll connect the stories that they are learning each week to the Big Story, and help kids know how God wants to be their friend.

Our K-5th grade Kids' Church begins each week with a time to praise and worship God through dynamic, engaging music. A large group time follows, where a Bible story and Main Point are shared with the kids through a combination of live storytelling, teaching, and drama, with technology and video tying everything together. Kids will also have a chance to actively dive into small group activities, discussions, and games that are designed to help them dig deeper into the Bible story and Main Point. We will also partner with you through our weekly Family Devotional, based on the Main Point and Bible story from Sunday's lesson.
