Travel Day

I have arrived safely in Accra. Two flights (one a prop plane), on RwandaAir got me here, with stops in Kugali (Rwanda) and Lagos (Nigeria). All connections and entries went fine, thanks for praying.

Prince Paul Konu is a gentle, dedicated servant of the Lord. He now has 57 churches throughout jungle and voodoo regions of Ghana.

Our day starts early tomorrow - on the road by 8:00. Pray specifically for:

- Safety on the road (that his borrowed vehicle will run well, and no accidents or problems with corrupt police).

- Day 1 of training about 18 Volta region pastors (same topic - pastoring as sheperding, including how to develop other shepherds in your church).

- Quality conversations during our many hours Prince Paul and I will be together.

- No illness or stomach/food issues.

I am glad to be here. Honestly, I am also homesick. Ghana is tougher than Uganda - more third world (traffic, pollution, perhaps less civil stability). And people are struggling here, inflation has hit this poor country.

Good night from Accra.

Hi Paul,
I was just preparing for announcements on Sunday and reading a bit more about Rob Scott and his ministry. Drove home how different life must be for those who come to the US from the conditions you describe. Also made me realize, despite the challenges they face in MN becoming "home" what a valued perspective they offer to us who live in a place with very manageable traffic, minimal pollution and perhaps more civil stability. We look forward to your return but are glad for the impact you'll have on brothers and sisters in Africa.
